Illinois
LeadingAge Illinois represents one of the oldest and most respected networks of senior living and service providers in the state, with roots dating back to 1923. What began as a Conference of Representatives for Homes of the Aged in Chicago and Vicinity on January 23, 1924, comprising of 39 communities, has grown to an association of over 300 providers. The association became the Illinois Homes of the Aged, Inc. by 1939 and began collecting membership dues. In 2024, the association celebrated its centennial with recognition of its milestones and the history of aging services since its inception.
Iowa
For over 60 years, LeadingAge Iowa, together with our national partner LeadingAge, has been the strong and distinct voice for not-for-profit aging services providers in Iowa as we strive to be the champion for advancement and innovation in aging services. Our members provide care to older adults across the care continuum and lead in innovative practices to serve the needs and preferences of the aging population.
